Daniel Kokotajlo

Signatory of the 2024 Right to Warn letter advocating channels and protections for employees raising AI risk concerns.

The June 4, 2024 A Right to Warn about Advanced Artificial Intelligence letter lists Daniel Kokotajlo as a signatory, labeled formerly OpenAI. It asks companies to permit criticism, support anonymous reporting and protect workers raising risk-related concerns.[1]

This profile documents worker-safety advocacy. Signing the letter does not establish a particular allegation, legal whistleblower status or an adjudicated incident. Its employment label is historical, not a claim about his current role. Geoffrey Hinton appears among the letter’s endorsers.[1]

In the origins guide, this adds a governance question: who can make relevant information available when the organization controls access? The incidents guide separately asks what evidence supports an account of failure.

Review scope: original letter body, date and selected names; not a comprehensive biography, signature audit or verification of underlying allegations.
